Hello Welcome to the real south. Any discount airline will do for the flight. There are direct flights to S. A. They are a bit pricey though. Try to go through London, no visa needed, get a delayed lay over and spend a time there while going through. Attempt to NOT! go through Joe'Burg at any time. If using South African Airlines. Almost guaranteed to have your luggage opened and ransacked. No visa needed for American Passports if you do not stay over three months. If you are going to Cape Town, contact me before going, we also live there, will be going home this fall, might be able to give some assistance to you or buy you a beer down at 0the pier Brooks
