Panama: House Sitter Available for Bocas Region:

Retired 44 year old woman (traveling with small service dog, friendly with all other animals) available for house sitting from June 2nd until Dec 2nd on any of the Islands in the Bocas Del Toro archipelago. My 19 year old son will be with me for any yard or heavy duty maintenance that needs to be done and security. I am very experienced with all animals and am available for pet sitting as well. Panama: Florida Keys to Bocas Del Toro:

I am trying to see if there is a way to travel from Florida Keys to Bocas Del Toro. Maybe we can hop aboard someone who might be sailing down in that way!!??

Panama: DRIVING TO PANAMA:

I would not drive personally...not nowadays but I would not mind driving down to florida and taking a boat to Bocas Del Toro, Panama...even finding that is hard to do...I am coming from North Carolina....when do you all plan on traveling?

Panama: Been checking into things for 4 years its time:

Ok well I have been looking into going to Bocas Del Toro for about the last 3-4 years...been doing all the research and everything...which is actually kind of surprising because I am more of a just hey that looks like a kewl thing or kewl place and then I go or move. As I have lived in Panama City in the early 90's and I loved it I do have an idea of what it's like...I grew up mostly over seas...I have decided I am just going to not book a place, I am hoping to stay in a hotel maybe $30ish a night for first weekend then hoping to find a spot for about $500 a month...I will be traveling with my small dog my 18 year old son. I am retired and I plan on staying 6 months or so. I am perfectly fine with something "rustic" or a "hut" but perferablly near the beach...if on one of the outer islands thats fine but I would like a boat. The things that I mainly require is a good working toilet and a good working kitchen. If anyone happens to have leads please let me know.

Panama: gay girl:

So I know some gay men and women have traveled to both PC and Bocas and I know the changed the law a couple years back so that homosexuality is legal. However I will be traveling alone and I am pretty confident and I try to be peaceful but the Redheaded Welsh in me sometimes gets the best of me on that one...but I love Panama...I loved it the last time I lived there and I never wanted to leave I have dreamed about the day I would return ever since...I went to PR for a short visit it brought those old feelings back but wasn't the same...of course I had not come out way back then the last time I lived in Panama and that was in the City. I once read that Bocas was becoming one of the Worlds secrete destinations for Gay friendly Beaches....Any thoughts? BTW I mean all of this in the most respectful of ways.

Panama: Health:

So in consideration to Bocas Del Toro. I have some health challenges most of the time I manage to keep them under control...however I have had times I have needed hospitalization. I also need to see a Dr on a fairly regular bases. I have Tricare for life and Medicare....does anyone have any advice or info

I am looking for an airstream preferably or other RV. I have looked on craigslist and that section is literally empty...Does anyone have any suggestions...

Panama: boat hitching:

I have also considered boat hitching to Bocas...I have no problem going and getting things...however I am a bit concerned about safety. I don't tend to get intimidated easy...but it will just be me and my dog and I am not a very big person 5'4 135 and I do have some health problems (don't worry they are managed and I will get a clearance from my dr) so any thoughts would be great

Panama: Preparing for the initial 6 month plung:

Hi, I am looking at moving to Bocas Del Toro for about 6 months and checking out to possibly buy. Not only have I lived in Panama City in the early 90's but I have lived over seas quite a bit. So I am very used to other cultures. I have figured out pretty much what I am going to do when I get there no it's the planning out getting there. I am trying to figure out if flight wise it is easier to go from Miami to Panama to Boca or from Costa Rico to Boca...price wise they are about the same so I was wondering if anyone knew the difference as far as ease....Also I am thinking of traveling with my small (6lb) dog and I know what I need to do as far as the whole vet thing and everything but I was wondering if anyone had advice on best ways for airlines with the dogs and best ways to travel...she has traveled with me in the cabin before but not internationally. If I had my way I would find someone sailing from southern florida and just hitch a ride with them...:) any advice is welcomed...
