United Kingdom: Possibly moving to London...lots of questions!:

Hi everyone, My husband's job may be transferring us from the US to London. Since the cost of living in London is so much higher than where we currently live plus we may have to cover a lot of our own moving expenses, we are trying to figure out if this a move we can afford to make. Is there anyone who lives in London that would be willing to correspond with me over email to answer some of the questions I have about living in London? I'm interested in learning more about how much TV and internet cost, what would be an appropriate amount to budget for monthly groceries for 2 people, safe but affordable neighborhoods to live in etc. If anyone would be willing to talk with me via email I would be very grateful.
