Hi you will need longer than a few hours. Jamaica is very slow in dealing with anything. There are so many things to take in concideration when moving to JA. You said you have been before , has it been on cruises. Or have you stayed on the Island? I can tell you what I've had to deal wit. I'm from UK . Also what port are you coming in at when you come at Christmas? Sue

Hi It am living in St Mary and UK to. You can apply for residency cost of $JD 30,000. You have to prove a few things like can you support yourself etc and as you are building this will help you. This is done in Kingston or Mo'bay immigration. Then if you get through they can give you up to 3yrs with out going out of the country. It does change when you are married but all things so much longer to process in JA. Hope all goes well for you. I'm still learning big culture shock compared to UK.
