Mexico: moving to Mexico:

Hi, We are also moving to Lake Chapala and have the same concerns about shipping boxes of kitchen items and a few other things. We will not be bringing our car as we lease it. We know we can ship our things to a post office box in Laredo, Texas and then have it brought across and delivered to our new address but we don't have any idea of the cost. If you find out please let me know as well. Thank you, NewbieTina

Mexico: Back Surgery:

Hi Alex, While I don't need back surgery I was pleased to get your tip to find good doctors in Mexico. I hope that the sender feels the same way. Thank you, newbieTina

Mexico: Maskaras Clinic:

We are moving to Lake Chapala and wanted to know if anyone has used the services of the Maskaras Clinic there? We are keeping our medicare for now but wondered what the best approach would be for daily health issues that may arise. We read about the Maskaras Clinic but would like to hear from some local expats who are using it. Thank you! NewbieTina

Mexico: Certification of important documents:

Before moving to Mexico I want to get our important documents certified. Would notarized documents be acceptable? If not where does one go for certification? Thank you for your help in this matter. newbieTina

Mexico: moving to Lake Chapala:

Would someone be able to advise us regarding the most reasonable way to move just a few pieces of furniture, a flat screen TV and lots of photo albums? My husband has been looking in to the best way to do this but moving companies are not quick to answer. We also don't know who to trust when they do give a quote. Thank you for any help that you might be able to give to us on this matter. grammytina

Mexico: Question???:

I have been reading about the Makaras Clinic in Lake Chapala. Is this a viable option to purchase with IMSS or other private insurance? Thanks for your feedback. newbieTina

Mexico: Private Medical Insurance for Seniors in good health!:

My husband is 70 and I am 68 years old. We are both in pretty good health and currently have medicare insurance. We would like to know if there is an agent that is well regarded who could help us choose the best policy for us. Also does anyone know if you can purchase the private medical insurance two months before arriving in Mexico as we were told there is a two month waiting period once you buy the insurance. Thank you!
