Guatemala: Car Top Carrier:
Can anyone tell me where to get a car top carrier. I do not want to buy a Thule (sp). Thanks
Guatemala: What things should I bring?:
Guatemala has poverty, but it is also very modern. You will find a find Walmart and other "modern" stores especially in the City. They have a lot of stuff you find in the US
and the truth is is is no longer a "cheap" country anymore. It is getting expensive with all the Americans living there and wanting the conveniences they are used to in the US. You do not need to bring deodorant or peanut butter unless you have some special brand you want. Outside of that, just enjoy Guatemala and don't try to bring "America" with you.
Guatemala: Besides ..ANTIGUA ..?:
San Lucas or Santiago Sacatepequez they are in the mountains,
We live in San Lucas is nice.
Guatemala: Cost of the Visa run:
We have renewed our visa without a lawyer. However, if you are in Pana you may want to use someone. The cost is about $15 BUT you have to go to the city two times. Once to submit and then about 8 days later to retrieve your passport with the stamp.
Guatemala: Where to buy power tools?:

Guatemala: Traveling through Mexico:
My wife and I will be traveling north. We thought about driving but have heard "negative" things about driving through Mexico. I wanted to see if anyone has transversed Mexico in the last 45 days? If so, can you tell me if you have problems?
In advance, thanks
