Guatemala: I want to buy a house but I have a serious problem:

So I've been a 1099 employee, what this means is I get paid in cash as an independent contractor and it is my duty to pay taxes at the end of the year, instead of having the taxes taken out of my check like everyone else. The problem is I have not been doing that.. I want to buy a house in Guatemala but I hear they will need proof of my income. I have no tax filings to show the banks. All I have is my 1099 forms which show how much I have made throughout the year. Will I be able to buy a house? Will I be able to have a Guatemalan bank account?

Guatemala: Can a U.S. family of 3 move to Guate. on a monthly income of $750:

Honestly it just depends on whether or not you are white.. If you are latino then yeah it's very possible as you can blend in with locals and no one will bother you, if not you will need a bit more security. Just look at the people saying their rent is $500-800 per month. Might as well live in the states. You can get a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house for $100 per month in Villa Nueva near the city. You could probably get one for $40 a month in the ghetto but don't go there unless you want to die.

Guatemala: Can I buy property with an American bank account?:

I don't want to put my money in a Guatemalan bank account I don't trust it.. So can I buy it with my Bank of America account?

El Salvador: Minimum cost to build a house:

Hi guys my mother owns land in san miguel, santa rosa de lima. It's a little country area, kind of remote. She wants to build a house there, nothing fancy really. Just something that has running water and electricity those are the minimum requirements other than that it could be a wooden shack for all she cares. I am planning to pay for this as a surprise to her, she always dreams of going back to her pueblo and living a simple life again. what is a ballpark estimate? do you guys think this is doable with 10,000-20,000? Remember, this can be a super simple house

El Salvador: Excellent San Salvador Handyman Available:

Hi do you think Victor and help me with a quote? I need on a quote on what it would cost to build a house in Santa rosa de lima. A small house, almost shack like, but with running water and electricity. I realize that is very broad but it just needs to be a general ballpark estimate. I have no idea what labor, or material costs are in El Salvador i want to build this for my mother

Guatemala: how do book your flights if you want to stay in:

El Salvador: I have a lot of Tattoos:

I want to visit my family in El Salvador but I have a lot of Tattoos. I've been confronted in Guatemala by gang members but I hear Salvador is worse and I just want to be safe. I have a full sleeve on my right are (Mayan design and a quetzal) and Pink floyd on my left arm (Half sleevs) Will this be a problem?

Guatemala: What can I do with Q100,000?:

Can I buy any housing near GC? Preferably within half an hour on the chicken busses? I want to go to school and work in GC. I don't want to rent. I was looking at las victorias or planes de barcenas in Villa nueva and it's nice but too expensive. Is 100,000 too low? Should I save more? I am American, half Guatemalan half Salvadoran and don't have an accent and 18 so I blend in just fine. Willing to live anywhere as long as it fits my budget, doesn't get me killed, and is within 30 minutes of . Any tips would be helpful, thank you
