Poland: Learning Polish: "No, you can't have my cat":

Reminds me of when I was attending Mass in Spanish one day. I'm learning a lot of Spanish by contact, since my parish become ever more hispanic. Anyway, one day we had a prayer, "Dios crea in mi un corazon puro", which means, "God, create in me a pure heart." But what I heard was "...un corazon burro". It made me wonder why I would want God to give me the heart of a donkey. (I figured it out soon thereafter.)

Poland: Unversity in Poland:

I don't have any familiarity with veterinary programs in Poland, but Poles will be quick to point out that Poland is Central, not Eastern, Europe. And by "Kroclaw" do you mean Krakow or Wroclaw? That being said, I wish I had the chance to study in Poland!

Poland: Recruiters freelancers in poland:

Have you tried looking on LinkedIn? I must have 300 connections in Poland who are recruiters of various types.

Poland: Real estate websites for areas Bielsko-Biala, Pszcznya, and Katowice:

Here are a couple of sites I've used for looking at real estate across Poland: http://www.wgn.pl/ (This site is in Polish) http://wbj.tabelaofert.com/ (This site is in English, mostly) Have fun & good luck, Scott

Poland: Help!!! Newcomer to Poland - Bydgoszcz:

Check out www.neveradulldayinpoland.com The author is an American expat who lives in Bydgoszcz, and I'll bet she'd love to help. (Well, except for the Catholic part; she's a Mormon, so I don't think she knows of an English-speaking Catholic church.) As for attending Mass, I was in Poland this summer and attended Mass in several different churches. I only know a little Polish, but was able to follow along pretty well. Good luck!

Poland: FREE LECTURES AND CONSULTATIONS ON 12-13 OCTOBER:

Sounds great! Wish I could be there.

Poland: More- and less-expensive cities in Poland?:

When thinking about retiring in Poland, it's probably safe to say that Warsaw and Krakow are the most expensive places to live in Poland. But are any smaller cities known for being affordable? Gdansk, Kielce, Lodz, Wroclaw? Any suggestions? Thanks for the advice!

Poland: Retirement in Poland.:
