South Africa: Visitor Visa Inquiry:
Has anyone heard of SAMI international, a Cape Town based firm that will issue a visa? They will issue me a visitor visa if I send in all the supporting documents plus a fee of R2500. I was also told that I had to go to my local SA Embassy in Los Angeles,CA (3 hour drive) to get a visa, as you only can get one in person. Anyone have some info about this?
South Africa: Knysna:
Having searched for a place to spend 4-5 months/year, Knysna seems to embody all the things I am seeking. I will be in SA in the Fall to check it out. Can anyone offer advice for 50+ solo female, as to safety, local community, vibe & cost of living in Knysna? thanks!
Belgium: For Expat Ladies of Ghent only:
Hello are you still looking to form a woman's group? I will be in Ghent in the spring, & thinking of relocating. I'd be interested in this group!
Netherlands: making friends- early 20's:
Hi Badger 12--Women's groups are a great place to make new contacts. You may want to drop the "age" label, as age is just a social construct, & it could hold you back from meeting some wonderfully supportive women....even if they are older.
Jamaica: move to jamaica:
I say GO for it. Do your research, find out about work/business opps, rents, safety, housing etc. Don't burn your bridges. And you can always go "home". And what will you have lost? Absolutely nothing.
South Africa: American moving to SA:
It's great to hear you love living there. I am considering a 6 month stay, as I have work that I can do remotely. What have you found your biggest challenges to be?
Netherlands: Visa Information:
I am a U.S. Citizen and would like to spend 5-6 months in the Netherlands. I am aware of the 90 day limit of Schengen Visa requirements. Does anyone know if applying for a Visa to do this would be really difficult? I have independent income/assets, and would not need a job.
Netherlands: Extended Visa for U.S. citizen:
I am a 60+ female who wants to spend longer than 90 days in the NL. I have assets in the USA & greater then $5K u.s. monthly income. I am not seeking employment.Do you think it would be difficult?
Jamaica: Single Woman Retiring to Jamaica:
I am planning on spending part of the year in JA. I am over 65 as well. Having Miami so close by for major medical care is an option for me, as I have Medicare.
I have a JA b.f. which may make it easier to settle in, but I'm not sure. J. men got a bad rap, they are as good/bad as any other men & very easy on the eyes. :)
Jamaica: Real Estate License in Jamaica:
I'm intending to spend part of the year in Jamaica and would like to know as an American licensed RE agent in California, what type of licensing do I need to sell/ develop Real. Estate in Jamaica and where do I find this info?
I was told my u.s. license might be transferable in some situations.
Thank you!
