Kazakhstan: Looking elsewhere now ...:
Yep, although it seemed like an adventure and a good idea at the time, I've done my homework, read the forums and spoken to various returnees - and declined the offer. I don't mind a bit of crap. I don't even mind a lot of crap, but I do expect to be paid on time and as agreed, live in a place that is reasonable nice and close, expect expenses that were agreed to be honoured in a timely fashion and without hassle, expect holiday pay to be honoured without argument 6 months later etc etc etc. Oh well. Actually, it's quite nice not working at the moment!
Kazakhstan: Teaching?:
Can't make up my mind whether to take up the offer and work in the capital teaching at one of the schools for the elite of khazakhstan! Do I need the hassle? I seem to read so many more negative comments than positive ones about contract problems and payment problems and sub standard housing.
