Morocco: American woman marrying a Moroccan man:
Yes it's pictures that you get taken at cvs, or anywhere that takes passport pictures. They use 1 for the passport and others for your files.
Morocco: British expats:
Hello, almost all hotels have employees that speak English very well. It doesn't have to be run by British . In fact the hospitality you get from Moroccan hotels can't compare anywhere, they are the best.
Morocco: Canadian Moving To Agadir:
Hello, I'm an American married to a Moroccan . I love morocco, especially Agadir! The people are very friendly, and the weather is perfect.
You will have culture shock for sure, but you'll get over it. I don't live there but I've visited numerous times. We just bought a home in Aglou about 2 hours south of agadir. I plan to retire there.
I'm a convert, on my own terms, after being married for about 10 years. Religion don't make a difference in Morocco, but you have to know how to accept their way of living. It's quite different. They are more layers back. I'm from New Jersey, USA and everything here is fast paced. Not in Morocco ! But don't get me wrong , that's exactly why I love it.
As for work, I can't tell you how it will be, only I'm sure you can find a job , but I don't know your education background. Be patient learning to live there. Oh and you have to accept that women are not approved to just talk to strange men openly( it's kind of hard to accept in the beginning) your not forbidden it's just kind of old fashioned, let the men be together and the women separately especially at parties.
I gotta go to work but if you'd like I'll tell you some more. How long you've been married?
Morocco: Hi:
Hello,
I actually don't live in morocco yet. Where are you from?
I'm from ,NJ USA
I'm female!
Morocco: Furniture stores in agadir/Tisnit or craftsman:
I'm buying a home in Aglou plage! Should be finished by April, need to furnish! I would like Moroccan style but not so traditional. I don't like the hard furniture, also want some american style furniture(sofa and comfortable chairs to fall asleep while watching tv). any suggestions?
Thanks Cathy
Morocco: Why I'm Leaving:
Well Joe, make room for me in Morocco! I love Morocco, I'm an American married to a Moroccan . He didn't ask me to convert, I converted after 10 years of marriage, after learning more about Islam, and I'm so happy for it. Islam has changed my life for the better!
As for Moroccan people, they are so friendly, and yes I get taken advantaged of because I don't speak Arabic or French but I expect that.
As for the food, where the h are you eating? I have been up and down the coast and only got sick once, and that's because the spices are so strong compared to the states, they are pure!
I know this post was a while ago, but I'm sure your still reading this!
I have been to England , I tell you they don't treat foreigners very nice! So Bislama Joe!
Morocco: What is Your Favorite Beach?:
