Hi, This is Edith from Kenya. 4WD: About this isssue you need a Toyota Prado Land cruicer a desel or Petrol Engine OR Mitshubish Pajero. BUYING: You can buy these vehicles from local markets but its going to be expensive. It will cost about Ksh.2.8 and 2.5millions to import direct from Japan. There are several companies or persons who can import the vihicles for you or you can do it while in Kenya. To import such a car you need about 2-3 mmonths and if you really need this car upon arrival we can send you photos of such vehicles in our markets. When you have identified one is a matter of paying on your arrival and getting the car. These two types will be easier for you to dispose them when time comes for you to leave. Edith

Laz. Thank for the answers you asked about moving to Kenya with your household and a car. Am sorry for this but it starts as it is. You pay alot of income tax for goods coming in mostly house holds and cars. So my advice will be you sell the things and come and buy what you want here in Kenya. For the car, what you will pay will be worthy buying a second hand car here in Kenya and for now it stands at that. This is because we had been loosing alot of income tax through this. RADIO: Most radio stations are in English language so expats can listen to our local music and international music as they play both. They can also try to tune in to BBC. They can also watch CNN from T.V which brings world wide news. FUN Weekend is full of life. You can check where the fun is in our daily local news papers and on Fridays Morning to get prepared where to go on Friday night(members day) as they call it.
