Global Expat Forum: A Canadian widow looking for a place to move to that is safe.:

I am a 69 year old widow looking for a place to move to that is safe, quiet and warm. I am Canadian and looking for information from Canadians. Prefer Panama, Philippines, Belize, Nicaragua well you get the picture. I would like to rent in a small village not too far from a city with good medical.

Dominican Republic: A widow thinking of moving there to live on pension?:

I am a senior looking for a place to live that is warm, quiet and with in my means. I would like to be close to a market, in a small house in a small village, but I hear the medical facilities are not the best here is that true? I will be in need of meds every month and a doc once in a while. Is the medical as go as say Costa Rica?
