Colombia: All the best reasons for wanting to become a Colombian expat.:

Many of you expats can resonate with this particular question being that you chose to live somewhere in Colombia, and are very happy with your personal situation as it now stands. For those of us who might be interested can you tell us how you are feeling physically after being a resident for a while. Has this changed you outlook on the future for anything Colombian, and how you relate on a daily basis with the locals you meet? hmmm.

Colombia: want to immigrate:

This fellow is keen on anything legal when it comes to Colombia, he can answer you in a particular way with the issue of immigration, but he is also in business to help. James Lindzey Visas y Tramites Internacionales www.ColombiaVisas.com 57-301-337-1881 1-305-767-2766

Colombia: Separate but equal.:

Does anyone have a mother living in Colombia with them? There must be some step moms of course being that plenty of expats are married to a Latina. Happy Mothers day to those who are there now! Seems to me from what I have been reading here that there are also some expats already married to a Latina but not living in Colombia yet. Can anyone tell me a little about how its going if your waiting to return to Colombia to live with your Latina and what are you waiting for. I want to marry and live in Colombia, I am also waiting here in the U.S.A. I was wondering why mother and fathers day wasn't set for the same day every year. Huh valid question.

Colombia: What language barrier?:

When I had made my 5th visit to Colombia I was called a "GRINGO", lucky for me it wasn't a serious case of uh-ah, but one must realize that the Colombianos have something going on among themselves explained in Espanol that can't never be disputed. The word is out, and It can go from the religious aspect to the economy to the household and back. Somewhere in there, someone is going to start talking about a better way to earn a living, and then there will be talk about cost effective spending, and best use of resource as if they weren't already doing that, but remember we Americans think we have the edge when it comes to change in the right direction. Look at the be green, or nothing movement in the U.S.A. It has been an expensive start to a long solution within a very big economy, now if only the Colombianos would step up and start talking more with us as they talk between there own people about connecting fair trade with what can be done from home, and hands on cost effectiveness, and best use. which is where they may be wanting change to begin. hmmm.

Colombia: Mailing documents to the U.S.:

Yes I to have used 4/72. I sent some large photos at a fair price, But I sent the letter package just before the end of November so it would make its destination by Christmas. hmmm I think I used Colombian pesos, can a credit, or debit card also work I can't remember.

Colombia: Are they all liars and thieves!:

Loco gringo, you made a good point. I agree, kind of like if its not broken don't fix it. And how many of the poor add any savings into a bank account every month, or every pay check? I have been helping my girl friend for 3 years with rent, but I am pretty sure that this money goes for a lot of other things probably mostly for food. What I am concerned about is the end result, so lots of need for efficiency through cost effective spending and best use of resources. Have a look into the bags of garbage waiting to be picked up and it may be found out what is wasted and what is proof of any good that the money has done. 2015 hmmm, we Americans are now living the so called GREEN LIFESTYLE.This may be one of the differences in cultures, but it is changing.

Colombia: Why are Colombians so adverse to new foods:

Yes GOOD TOPIC, I have almost forgotten that I used to prepare most of the salads on the buffet line for a while at the riverside Hotel in Reno Nevada, when I was young and with my father. I learned much of the way food was prepared from him. I too have seen the variety of fruits and veggies when I was in Ibague, Tolima. I think that in Colombia there are next to no Americans with restaurants, but you can prove me wrong... good threading all expats! keep it alive and well.

Colombia: Cali Rentals:

I want to congratulate all of you for conversing in style and grace here at Colombian expat forum, The American way may have something to do with this ability in such matters of morality, and legality! Anyway I like it please keep it going. Like I said before we should be doing this in groups and this can be true for expats and soon to be expats alike, keep it coming.

Colombia: processed information.:

Change has to be for the better, don't leave us guessing expats, in my view the opportunities open the way for any type of transactions because they are all for the reason of a permanent situation for any and all business related to home and family. Look at there advertising. Keep trying to persuade others especially the local Colombianos about how where and when there should be anything legal, signed, and payed. Dian and other government official business will process and you will receive the printed form and e-mail. expats this is where we start chat groups when seeking an end result

Colombia: Doing skype meeting place and e-mailed connections.:
