No problem with 20's in most places…..smaller stores, taxis are often problems…… Banco Pinchincha ATM's allow at least $500 (I have not tried for more)…...

There are offices in Guayaquil and Quito that control import of firearms……forget the name, but yes it is possible to import firearms, but extremely limited and difficult….. As for Casadecuenca, wrong again……..
