So hey today I read on I think it was US Today on Yahoo. the 2013 Expat vote was almost alll for Asia. Espically Thailand. Thailand. have you ever read the Resident Requirement? There isn't one,far as I can tell.heck they even had Turkey in there as a non Asian country.Guess they didn't ask the expat's in the America's their vote.Oh well, I'll take Nicaragua over Thailand any day.Have a good Day. Nicaragua: a great place to visit, but do I really want to live there?:

Hi again the2bearsandme Ita always refreshing to hear from you. I totally agree about alot of what you say. Ok. as a almost expat in Nic. The only one thing i am worried about is the maount of poverty there is in Nic. I know i'll get over that. But it is a issue. I'll proberly want to adopt every kid i see.I know we can't save them all. I do know in a small way, i will be giving every month money to adopt a kid at a organage. Its $300 a month not all that much and maybe even do the hold a celebration for a kid. I think a birthday party would be fun to have at the orpanage i saw on the net.You get to come and hold a party or something else if you want to.So do i want to come? You bet i do.Will i miss family and pals you can say maybe i will to a point.I want new pals, new adventure's, and new things to do. I've checked out over 10 different place's. i been to the P.I. so many time'sLast count was like 19 time's, ok the P.I. is cool. You see i'm on a time limit in life, 10 years is all i got so i want to make it a good 10 years barring any problems.Get my point.Hey 75 is a long life too you know. Now learning spanish nope can't do that, so i'll hire me what i call a persoanl assistant, a kind of driver, interperter for myself. No time to learn something like that.It si about the $$$. I did alot of thinking about this too. And no wife to help me out,and all my friends think, i'm crazy,ok maybe i am, good crazy.I think i have 1 property sold, 3 more to go and my business, and like poof, i'm out of here. You and yours take Care. Nicaragua: dengue fever out break:

Good Morning. I turn on the puter and see that there is a severe outbreat of dengue fever. I see that the government is doing something, thats good.I saw there were several deaths, and that there is no known cure or preventive shot's you can get. I hope and pray for all of you, and that you and your families are ok.Take care. mark

Nicaragua: Drivers License:

Ok a couple of days ago, i read, on some Nic. Forum, not this one, that getting a driver's liciense is a breeze, no driving test or written test. I did see where you had to get 3 different stamp's, and answer a few questions. Now is that all true? Thanks. Mark

Nicaragua: I am amazed:

Hey Frank, thats good news, wish i was coming down too.No, wait i wish i was already there. Mark here, in Nevada.Hopefully by next year, i have to sell 4 properities and my business here first. And its all a cash only sell. No financing by me.The guys and gals in here are very helpful. Like you I have a million questions, or i read things about Nic. on the net.I'm 65 so i'm doing the retired visa thing . I looked into other countries, been to a few, P.I. mostly, and the D.R.I was amazed at how low rents are there!Even buying there is good. Well anyways welcome abord and good luck In NIC.Mark

Nicaragua: Television:

Hey guys and gals, how big is the tv expansion gone there? I read satellite is not all that good, so how is the cable, and are there "GRINGO" channels too? Thanks.Mark

Nicaragua: No More Money TransFers:

Well I wanted to ask all the american's there in Nicaragua, what are you going to do about the latest USA laws. On November 17th I think it is,Chase bank will no longer allow n e 1 to transfer funds to other countries. So that kind of leaves the expat in a jam. They say,ok, that other banks will follow suit and do the same as Chase is doing?I'm sure Nicaragua has already followed suit as all countries have, except one Denmark, and gave the USA,you know the good old boys from the IRS, all of your banking information, so to see if you owe them anything, nice huh?I guess its a wait and see.Damm, how are you in country going to get your money, except from ATM'S?I'm checking with the holder of my private personal annunity retirement fund.I'm sure this will change some immigrations some of the countries have about having a bank account in their country. So what have you found out, and what are you going to do?? Thanks.Mark
