Panama: Beware - Rental Car Fraud!!:

AVIS RENTAL CAR SCAM- OFFICE IN CENTRAL DOWNTOWN PANAMA CITY: I rented a car from Avis in central downtown Panama City in November for about a week with liability insurance only. I returned the car and they accused me of over $800 damage to the windshied when there wasn't a scratch on it. They then billed my MasterCard over $815 in fraudulent charges for this without my approval. Fortunately I took photos and video film of the car before I left. I now have my attorney on the case and am fighting for a reversal of charges with MasterCard presently. BEWARE of this AVIS RENTAL CAR Office in central downtown Panama City!!!!!!!!!

Panama: Foreign Vehicle in Panama?:

I am thinking about purchasing a vehicle in Panama that is registered and licensed in the USA. How long would I be able to keep the vehicle in Panama without licensing and registering it in Panama? Would I be able to get liability insurance on it in Panama since it is registered and licensed in the US? Thanks.
