Ireland: Americans Moving with Young Family to Dublin Area:
Hi there,
We moved one year ago to Dubin from Canada.
We were in corporate housing in Dublin 4 which is very nice. Will you have help to find a house? We looked in communities along the sea and along the DART line (train). We ended up in South County Dublin and it takes my husband about 22 minutes on the train to get to work.
Schools can be REALLY hard to get into, it caused me a lot of stress. My kids were 5 and 7 when we moved here in September 2012. It took me until January 2013 to get them into public school.
If you'd like please send me an email
wendy.walton@gmail.com and I'd happily answer any questions you have. I also have a blog I can point you to that you might find helpful about our experiences here.
Cheers,
Wendy
