Paraguay: Short-Term Rental in Asuncion:

Hello. I'm new to this forum. I visited Paraguay about 2 years ago and was pleasantly surprised so I'm planning on returning in January. I don't know Asuncion well enough to know where I'd like to live so I'm looking for a short-term rental until I get my bearings. I would like to live in a safe place near other English speaking ex-pats. My Spanish is fair at best. I plan to work on it while in Paraguay. From another thread, it sounds like Carmelitas would be nice. I'm currently paying $1,000/month for a nice 2BR condo in West Palm Beach, Florida, and I don't really want to go much over that - although I could. I'm also planning on working in Paraguay - I'm self-employed and require only a computer and Internet connection. I've looked at http://clasipar.paraguay.com (thanks to whomever recommend the site). I've found this place and it's available in January http://www.asuncion-apartments.com/en/apartments-c.html I suppose it would do for a month or two. Is it in a safe part of town? Any other recommendations/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
