Still a surfer, I've lived up and down east and west coasts of US; mostly in CA, and traveled extensively to surf. Adapt well wherever I go. Live simple life; married to a brazileira for 27 yrs; she's homesick and wants to move either to Brazil or somewhere closer--travel-wise than CA. Brazil: Receiving prescription meds via mail from USA in Brazil??:

While in FL a couple of years ago, I asked a VA rep about having my meds sent to me in my home in Campinas. I was told that the VA does NOT ship meds out of the U.S. I will be going back to the states in a month or two to follow up. Hopefully I can get the meds sent to a friend's address in the U.S. who will then forward to me. The cost and unavailability of necessary medication (as well as supplements) is outrageously expensive for a retiree living off of Soc. Security and a small VA Disability payment. Health insurance is also quite a bit more than we'd originally expected. I'll post a reply when I return from the states.
