Japan: retirement homes in japan?:

odd question, odd situation. my elderly, japanese born mother wants to return to japan and move into a home for the aged (she is in her 80s). some distant family members are trying to help her with her visa, but i don't speak japanese and they don't speak more than a few words of english. does anyone have any knowledge or experience of the retirement homes out there (not the super pricey ones). i'm concerned that she will find herself stuck in a situation that she will not like. could you point me to any resources? websites for these places? pictures? anything? thanks.
