We have to be aware that Panama City is a metropolitan city. Therefore, we cannot avoid problems that arise from it. Within Metropolitan cities, we will have areas that are safer than others. I still will love to visit many other metropolitan cities in the world, but would be smart about it and do my research, as I do in the United States.

My 2cents: A few areas on the coast of Panama where there have been growth there is not enough police force to reinforce safety. It is best to stay away from these beach areas and find a place where the police presence is more prominent.
