Good for you. Bring a large bag full of cash. You will need it. Also, I would recommend doing some more research..... Best of luck.

Jamaica: Selling a guitar:

Thought I'd post this here in case anyone is interested. I have an Alvarez acuostic electric guitar for sale. Comes with hardshell case. The guitar is in perfect condition. I mean perfect. The case is in very good condition. The guitar plays well, new strings, no issues, I bought it in the US and have used it very little. I thought I would take it with me when I work in Europe, but it's too much hassle to fly with. If anyone is looking for a decent inexpensive guitar pm me and I can send pix, etc. FWIW decent guitars are extremely hard to find on island

Jamaica: secure storage:

I am looking to store a small amount of things (3-4 suitcases) in a secure location. This would be from April until November 1 or so. I also will need to store my car, but I can be a bit more flexible on this. The items are quite valuable to me and could certainly be easily stolen and sold so I am not really able to trust the usual outlets available here in Mobay. Any ideas?

Jamaica: Can it be done: find 2 parties to share use of apartment?:

How much per month? And more importantly, what happens to the tenants for the 3 months of the year you are here. Im asking because I would rent it if the price is right......depending on the three months thing.....

Jamaica: To Rent or to Own - Montego Bay:

You can do dual citizenship here. NEVER give up that US passport!!

Jamaica: Car Rental or Purchase:

I suggest buying if taxis are not plentiful I went for years without a car, renting from time to time I bought one finally and have few regrets. Take your time though if buying used, Jamaica is tough on cars. I'm a mechanic.... obviously an advantage. Renting can get really expensive really fast.

Jamaica: Horse Riding (show jumping & polo) in Jamaica?:

I did some work for a polo field in St Ann in 2007. There is a club of sorts, but I never got interested in it at the time. As far as I know there is no hunter jumper activity in Jamaica. I could be wrong, I was just hired as a contractor to take care of some equipment issues. ..,
