Philippines: US INCOME TAX RETURN:
Used Tax Cut (H&R) for many years and then switched to TT. Depends on your income, and other details on if fully on-line and fully free is what you get. For us we are in NV, so no state tax and fed is free. We file on-line, but have to do the long forms. Works good. Intuit (TT) tried to jack up the price last year and got hammered. They finally changed the pricing. Let's see what they have this year. I pick it up here in the states at Costco or Sam's Club, usually for around $US60.
Philippines: Hunter or Hampton Bay Ceiling fans...... Where can I buy them in the Philippines?:
S&R might have some from time to time and wired as 220. I know they have an appliances section. Costco here in the states carry's fans sometimes, so S&R might.
Philippines: U.S.A.:
In the USA there are no restrictions (needing to be a citizen) on who can start a business, own property and on most other business.
Philippines: VPN:
Free Hotspot has daily limits on data, Paid is unlimited. Anytime you have additional software active, it will slow things down. But with ads included you have additional processing going on, slowing even further. After we get into more of long-term residence in PH, I may need something different. But, for now and the 3week at a time visits, the paid version of Hotspot works for me. Also, I can have the paid on 5 different devices, so it also goes onto the smartphone for me.
Philippines: Senior Citizen Card:
But then, when you go to the PRA website there are ways to get a discount at ?limited? vendors?
5. Merchant Discounts
As a retiree, you are entitled to discounts from our merchant partners.
The puzzle continues..... Cheers!
Philippines: Hello and...:
I keep up my premier AAA (Auto Club) membership that includes up to $35KUS for emergency medical evacuation back to the states. Cost me about $100US annually. For "911" type help, DU30 has been pushing for the telecoms to get together and form a nationwide net for just that. Saw here in the US that those meetings are now underway. Yet, even with 911, getting help though the clogged streets is another hurdle to get over.
Philippines: Newbie questions:
SSniffer - But isn't Nomad insurance limited to 12 months? It seems like you could structure it to be a regular insurance like PHILHealth, but one would need to check. I'm staying! Will I still be covered? From their site:
When we founded World Nomads over 10 years ago, it was from being in that position ourselves that we decided our travel insurance should allow you to extend your journey and stay covered.
So we made it easy to sign in to extend your travel insurance yourself from anywhere in the world.
Of course, you will need to extend your policy before it expires and you can extend up to the maximum duration the policy allows (in most cases 12 months in total but do check as it depends on your policy).
That's not the only time you can rely on World Nomads to keep you covered.
Philippines: what is your medical insurance here in the Philippines?:
Sniffer - Nomads has a good site with lots of information. But in taking a quick look, it appears that the insurance is not for month to month coverage. The coverage appears to be of emergency only for a traveler on a specific trip. I may have read things too quickly, but that's what I saw: From the site - "I'm staying! Will I still be covered?

Philippines: Dengue:
As far as US infections very few, in particular the Miami area of FL (4).. Yes, many Zika infections, about 1.650, BUT they contracted outside the US.
Philippines: Hotels in Pangasinan:
Super55 - Need to narrow it down a bit as Pangasinan is good sized, with many beach towns/resorts. However, $UD3/day ($UD100/month) is going to be a stretch to find anything. From what we have paid to be at a beach resort in the Infanta area, with A/C is $US25/day.
