Philippines: On my search to find a Philappino Wife:

The Filipino girls are not livestock that you just buy. They are humans and have feelings. It don't matter if a person goes to dating sites, bars or just walking along the streets, there are many girls in the Philippines to meet. Just like in the US, a person should take their time in a relationship and get to know someone before taking a leap. The girls in the US are more likely to play games and not be genuine. They are a lot more materialistic there. The Filipino girls are not spoiled and will be totally loyal. Learn the culture of the Philippines and that will be part of a relationship here.

Philippines: Balikbayan Entry:

I am an American Expat currently living in the Philippines pursuant a Balikbayan. My Filipino wife and I are traveling to the USA and returning to the Philippines and traveling together. I plan on another entry into the Philippines pursuant a Balikbayan Privilege. The question is, will I be subject to a requirement of a departure airline ticket within 30 days of entering the Philippines? When I traveled to the Philippines from the USA the last time, I had a departure ticket. I was ask about it in LA but that was the only time and it was easy to get the stamp by Immigration in the Philippines. I also traveled to Hong Kong recently on Cebu Airlines and was never ask about a departure ticket on the return. Any comments and recommendations will be appreciated.

Philippines: ACR-1:

I opened a joint bank account with my wife at BPI without an ACR card. We provided a copy of the marriage license, my American drivers license, passport and my wife provided her citizen information. We also took information about the Balikbayan that an ACR is not required. The bank accepted it all and we opened a dollar account and peso account.

Philippines: Filipina girlfreind is still married but can't get a divorce. Can she still get a fiancé visa so we can marry in the United States?:

My wife is from the PH and she traveled to the US pursuant a fiancé' visa for us to get married. I had a previous marriage and had to produce divorce decrees to show evidence that I was legal to get married. To answer the question and by evidence of our experience I would say no, she will have to show proof of eligibility to get married. I am not beating the table saying that is the correct answer. I am not familiar with PH on how to end a marriage legally. I know of some PH females in the US that are married to Americans and never got the marriage annulled or divorced in the PH. They did not enter the US on a fiancé' visa. Might be worth getting a legal opinion.

Philippines: ANYONE LIVING IN OZAMIZ CITY AREA?:

My wife and I have been living in Ozamiz since April of this year. My wife is from the Ozamiz area and I from the Houston area. I find Ozamiz OK.

Philippines: Senior Citizen Card:

I was just in the hospital and received medical treatment from a doctor. The hospital and doctor both provided 20% Senior Citizen discounts without my requesting. I decided to begin requesting Senior Citizen Discounts for medications and medical related cost. I will do it in a way if it is available to me. If it is not or a card is required, no problem.

Philippines: Hello and...:

Good luck on not finding a girl friend or wife in the PH. You can fall in love several times a day. The girls are adorable and loyal. There is no problem concerning safety and security, the people here are great. However, if you want trouble you can find it. Medical needs are easier to come by in the metro areas. That includes medication. But medical needs and medications are available. Good luck to you.

Philippines: How much are you really living on?:

I live on a max 80,000 pesos (about $1700 US) monthly in a mid size town. This includes monthly rent of 15,ooo pesos, cost for owning a car and eating out often. I just went to the doctor that is a specialist and it cost 600 pesos. I then purchased a 4 month supply of medication for 5600 pesos (about $121 US) that would have cost over $1200 in the US and require a prescription. The cost of living in the PH is a plus.

Philippines: Cash In Philippines:

I know about not attempting to enter the Philippines with $10,000 or more. What about a bank transfer from a US bank to a PH bank of more than US $10,000?

Any recommendations for a Dentist in Dumaguete?
