Kuwait: Women in Kuwait:
You should be extremely aware about going to live with your boyfriend in Kuwait - it is a strict Muslim country and in order to live together you should be married. You can be also get in trouble for having a child out of wedlock. If you are going to employment - the employers should be dealing with your visa - do check with them!
Kuwait: What to ask for!?:
You should ask for accom inclusive of utilities, as you have children, pref a villa or apartment with facilities. Check school fees are included, as you are visiting, worth visiting The English School and BSK if you are going with English curriculum. Private health insurance should be an inclusion, check medivac etc is included. You will find supermarkets are good, make sure salary is sufficient to cover regular standard of living plus some saving. Car allowance or transport as public transport isn't sufficient in Kuwait. Look at Renting an accommodation on www.paguro.com or search for negotiating contract on there and it will cover all these points and more. Hope this helps.
Flights allowance for all members should be included.
Kuwait: info on kuwait:
You may like to have a look at the info on www.paguro.net - expat locations - Kuwait as it will give you lots of background on where to mix, sports, activities, what you can / can't find there, which will help when planning your move. Housing is fairly expensive, but you should include that in your package, however cost of living is reasonable compared to many major cities. Work ethics depend on the particular company you are to be working for.
Kuwait: South African Expats:
There are lots of brill SA folk in Kuwait, have been in touch with a couple to ask them to watch this space for you - so don't give up.
Stay well
France: mooving to paris:
Forgot to mention, although prices can't be mentioned, a great way to understand the clusters around Paris is to read www.paguro.com - expat locations, France, Paris, city discovery, expat clusters - that will help you picture the places somewhat roe easily
Kuwait: Now that I'm here...:
There was an active mums and tots group meeting at the childrens area at the Hilton on a Monday / Tuesday morning - I will check it out for you. Will ask someone to post the current info in www.paguro.com - expat forum as it obviously will be useful to others. Also you are near to Teddies, nursery for meeting other mums. You should find plenty around that area - there are loads of people in the apartments and villas in Fahaheel that meet up.
Kuwait: YOUNG FAMILY MOVING TO KUWAIT & PREGNANT:

Burma: Schools:
Anyone know of a school in Yangon following a British curriculum? - If so is there a website? Or has anyone had experience of the French school there? Thanks
Kuwait: Moving to Kuwait:
Housing is going up fast in Kuwait so I would be looking at 750KD per month for housing, apartments are nice or villas are available and I would request private health care coverage so that you can choose which hospital / clinic you use and get reimbursements. The healthcare facilities are very good, and peadiatricains well qualified, if not a little different from waht you may be used to.
Treatment is rational, not to be compared to the States where many of us feel the Drs are catering to the insurance companies.
Security is fine and little children well catered for with swimming complexes and plenty of playgrounds, good (a little expensive) beach clubs and mothers and toddlers groups / good nurseries.
Driving is the most dangerous thing, but that is the most dangerous thing we all do anywhere! Look at www.paguro.net for the country guide which will give you further help. House help and babysitting is easily available and reliable. All foods and nappies for little ones as well as great clothing and equipment stores. The expat community is as friendly if not more than anywhere in the world.
