Nicaragua: PERFECT SPOT FOR RETIREMENT:

I have found the perfect spot for retirement or just good living. It is located the same distance between Granada and Managua, with breathtaking views, close to everyting, shops, markets, churches, banks, hospitals, gas stations. It is 300 meters above sea level making it the coolest spot in the Carretera Masaya. At night, you have to sleep with a blancket, without air conditioning.

Carlos, that is a very good advice, but the best thing to do with your home is to homestead it. Nicaraguan law allows you to do that. Most attorneys here, don´t even know that the law exists, they never use it, since it does not create any benefit to their business of confusing things in order to charge fees. To all expats. After researching all of the country, I and the American company contracted by Mr. Ramon Lopez, R.I.P. the old owner of Hotel Granada, to find the best location in Nicaragua, agreed in Nindiri, as the city to live in. In the highest point of the Carretera Masaya, the main highway in the country, 15 minutes from Managua, 15 minutes from Granada, 15 minutes from Jinotepe, Carazo, with beautiful Lake views and mountain views. To prove my point, just stop by El Bucanero, the restaurant on KM 26. Bring your camera, you will be amazed with the view. Nindiri, has everything, hospitals, churches, drug stores, gas stations, markets, banks, etc. etc. etc. There is no better place to live in the country. Don´t take my word for it, come and see for yourselves. You will be glad you did. Oh, before I forget, the people are wonderful.

All that mumble jumble of building cost can be reduced to a simple formula. The real cost of class A building is $300.00 per square meter = $30.00 per square foot. So your 2252 sq´ should cost around $68,000.00 to build, turn key completion, not too far off, from our expert´s opinion.

Nicaragua: Farming/ Ranching questions:

First of all, what type of crop are you trying to grow? and how much land do you need? I do not recommend anyone to buy cooperative properties. There is always problems. One of the members always argues that he did not sign the agreement, since they always assign one person to sign on behalf of the coop. There are plenty of good properties with private titles available.
