Ecuador: Curb side assistance:
Does anyone know if there are like Red Caps at the Cuenca airport to assist getting several bags to the check in desk? I've never seen any carts that could be used for this at check in.
Ecuador: Club Correos Suspends Operations:
Yep, never used them but it's pretty obvious they were driven out of business because of the heavy hand of the tax man. Wonder who approved the $42.00 added tax and what the real reason was for it? I'll never by the reasoning that to much was being shipped in and being resold to where it was hurting local merchants. Especially when local merchants didn't sell most of the stuff being shipped in from on line merchants. I mean just how much of a dent can shipping in a package limited to the 4X4X4 restrictions into Ecuador have on its economy?
Never have heard whether or not Trans Express had to add that additional tax to their services. Has anyone use them and had to cough up the $42.00 add on?

Ecuador: SIM Card Again:
OK, my wife has pointed out that if I want to pass this offer on to someone that has a phone needing a SIM Card I’ll need to match what Movistars best offer would be.
So here it goes:
One Movistar SIM card with just under $40.00 dollars credit on it with a programmed number already on it. Yours for the Movistar best rate of $20.00. That matches Movistars occasional 2X1 price for adding credit. Does not include the cost of the card itself. That’s your’s no charge.
If you’re bringing a phone to Cuenca that needs a SIM card in order to work here this will fill you need.

Ecuador: Movistar SIM Card:
Recently sold one of my phones so I have a Movistar SIM Card with just under $40.00 remaining. With the cost of the card at about $5.00 the value would be just over $44.00. Will to let it go $35.00.

Ecuador: Mail delivery:
Is there a way to find out if mail sent through USPS ever reached it’s destination here in Ecuador?
We had some letters and cards sent to our address in Cuenca over a month ago and they still haven’t shown up. Anybody had experience with this?
Ecuador: SRI Cover sheet:
I am going to file for my SRI reimbursement in Cuenca next week. Most of my receipts are dated for months in late 2014 with a few for 2015. Can anyone tell me if these have to be filed on separate cover sheets or can they be listed on one showing both 2015 and 2014 on the same cover sheet?

We have found almost every place we've looked to rent has gas. But there is a big push going on the have these eventually changed to electric.

Think this will change Correa's opinion of the USA?
