Panama: which car brand ?:

So what did we do wrong? Bought a 2008 Mitsubishi Montero four months ago. Appeared to be in mint condition. Now the transmission computer went out and we are told it'll take 1-2 months to get the part from Japan! Anyone have a car to rent?

Panama: Heat-rash ?:

I've been in Panama 3 months. I have had dry, itchy, flaky patches on my skin, like eczema, or? It keeps coming back. I've tried cortisone cream and it doesn't really work. What seems to work best is avocado, coconut, or olive oil? Some people have said, "Give your skin time to adjust".

Panama: Starting a Business in Boquete:

Wow, a CrossFit would be awesome. I live 2 hours away and would still drop in on occasion. Did you know the Panama version is called PowerFit? I've seen it in PC.

Panama: Dog coming to town:

We just brought our 3 dogs to Panama. Jose Saenz with Golden Frog was amazing. It was during the hurricane rains so one of our dogs had to spend the night in Columbia until the storm passed. Jose spent all day waiting at the airport so he could be there when he arrived. Besides that he's a nice guy and has a wealth of knowledge about Panama.

Panama: Looking for reasonable long-term monthly rental:

We just gave up a $750 month rental in Playa Las Lajas, across the street from the beach. Brand new.

Panama: Panama Holidays:

We have lived in Panama now for over a week. We made the mistake of going to David, not knowing it was Black Friday. We made the mistake of going to Boquete on National Independence Day. Horrific Traffic both times. However, are there places to see and places to avoid over the December and New Year's holidays for a newbie? We are in Playa Las Lajas. Thanks.

Panama: Coronado Used Cars:

I really did use the search function trying to find the name of previously recommended car dealers. Wasn't there individuals people thought were trustworthy in Coronado? And Boquete? Thanks.

Panama: Skin/Bug Bites:

Yes! Hate those buggers. We call them no see'ums. They seem to come out at dawn and dusk and are especially bad on the beach. Good to wear pants or a long dress at night. I'm allergic to them and get big blisters on some, but, I seem to develop an immunity after being in Panama for a while and they become just irritating bites. They don't seem to bother my husband. I am bringing 3 different kinds of insect potions to try. I do know deet works but hate to use it.
