Hi everyone, I'm a 26 year old bachelor having lived in Mumbai, India all my life. Currently I have a job offer in Kampala that promises to pay me about US$ 50000 per year. Can you guys help me understand the following, 1. Comparatively, how good is my salary 2. What standard of living can i afford? 3. What is the avg, range of expat salaries in Kampala 4. How much does one pay per month for a 1 bedroom apartment in Kampala (average to good location) 5. Can I afford a used car? 6. Is it safe? (Is it safer thatn Nairobi) 7. Are there a lot of expats here? 8. How is the social life? I'm sorry about the long list of questions, but I am quite clueless about this move. Please help.
