Saudi Arabia: My husband is considering taking a job in Saudi, advice?:

Don't do it. There's a reason that wages in the Klingon Kingdom are what they are. People get paid well to take undesirable or dangerous positions. A friend of the family did this with his wife a couple of decades ago. Unfortunately during his posting to Riyadh his wife was kidnapped. He received no ransom note, but a threat "get out of the country or die." He appealing to the embassy and US law enforcement to no avail and eventually had no choice but to leave. Never saw his wife again.

Slovenia: MUST HAVE LIST FOR TEMPORARY RESIDENCY APPLICATION IN SLOVENIA:

Appreciate the information. If you're looking for residency and wish to live in Slovenia long term but don't want to work inside the country does the process change at all? I was thinking of continuing to work in the US but getting a place there...

Slovenia: I Wish I had Known... Before Moving to Slovenia:

>And what you expecting from new >country? Well, on one hand people are people and so some of the same troubles that arise from human nature will be found everywhere. The other side of the coin is that the culture and society of a country break down you see unpleasant human behavior come to the forefront: everything from government corruption (yes, I understand that all governments probably harbor some degree of corruption but it's desirable to live in a place where it has a minimal effect on your day to day life) to behaviors such as lying, cheating, and stealing. The best thing one can hope from a new home country is that these behaviors will be at a minimum, that it is a place where the people are proud of their home and would welcome other well intentioned people who wish to move there and celebrate their language, cultures, and traditions with them.
