Philippines: SECURITY MESSAGE FOR US CITIZENS:

All it takes is one act of terrorism. And that one is the one where YOU are kidnapped, when your whole world falls apart and you are a prisoner for years, or your head gets thrown off of a motorcycle in some remote village. No one is going to come looking for you. This isnt a movie.

Philippines: Auto Accident:

My girlfriend bout something called an owners jeep or something. My knees get crunched under the steering wheel when I'm there to drive it. She lives in one of those poruks outside of town. I kept telling her public Trans and her motorcycle is good enough, but she insists, if her father needs a hospital, the car is the best way to get him there in an emergency.

Philippines: Tourist visa extensions:

This is something new to me. You mean if I have a visa extention and want to go back to the states next friday, I have to get a clearance?

Philippines: Looking for a companion for my girl:

When my gf says, shes been working too hard, needs a vacation, wants me to send her to manila, I tell her, wait for me. Thats what I did, she met me there, took her first flight from Davao to meet me, and we spent a great week there before flying back to Davao. Why cant you visit her there? Wonderful place is intramuros! How can you beat visiting a church with a courtyard, built in the 1500's!

how long does the vaccine last?

Philippines: Need advice: where to live in the Philippines:

If your retirement income goes straight into your u.s. bank account that you access through transfer or ATM, how do they work out the 30% tax? Do you pay that at income tax time? Thanks.

Philippines: Homophobic?:

Perhaps all this is a reaction to a world always on the brink of war. Watch m.a.s.h. remember klinger? Dressed in drag to get kicked out of the army. Most men, children these days have been brought up very soft, very paranoid, very greedy and not very chivalrous. Not enough to feel a deep willingness to die for their women and country as isis is. Escape into fantasy where you can slip out the draft, and even get on a lifeboat on the Titanic! Lol!!!!!!!

Philippines: Abu Sayyaf on Samal:

Since the 9-11 attacks, everything has been going on ingeniously and I love to sit back and watch it. For whatever little time I have, I will enjoy my freedom to do whatever I want, as long as it is legal... Ahhh, life I love it while everyone is suffering. My life is just the way the fantastic God has planned it for all of us.. And what I think is the best entertainment of all!!!!!! The enemies brilliant idea to keep silent and watch their enemies all fight amoungst themselves!!! What fun!!! Im a nut!!! And I love it!

Why are you being so harsh? Do you live there by choice?

Philippines: Building a house. Air conditioner help:

Hello. My name is Marc. I live in the U.S. and my girlfriend is building a house in Davao. I am trying to help her decide on the size of an air conditioner for a 14 by 12 foot room. It maybe even 20 feet long, sometimes it is hard to understand her. In America we go by BTU's, a 10000 btu would be ok for this size room, maybe even an 8000. But in the Philippines I noticed they never heard of btu's and I think they measure the size in kilowatts maybe? Anyway, any help will be appreciated.
