Panama: Shipping Items from Canada:
Does anyone know the best method. I was thinking of Air Canada and COPA Airlines.
I have 5 plastic tub containers which will have about 30 lbs each.
Only household items and clothing.
I can get them to Toronto via Air Canada for $300. but then I need to get them to COPA Airlines for the travel to Panama.
Anyone with experience here???

Panama: Arrive Oct. 2 with Service Dog:
I arrive in Panama City with my Registered Service Dog. The plane is due to land at 5pm.
But, planes can be late and the airport can be slow.
I have seen two different times that the "animal inspectors" leave the airport. What is correct?
I do not want my dog in the airport overnight. He must be with me 24hrs a day.
I read somewhere that you can pay to have inspectors there if we arrive (late).
How do you contact these people to make the proper arrangements?
Does anyone have an e-mail or phone # for the inspector's office?
If my dog stays overnight, I am going to have to stay with him. He is my "life-line". I can have seizures and he alerts me 20min before they might start.
This is a very serious issue in my travel and my life.

Panama: Getting Documents Apostilled:
If you have all the documents you need, how important is it to get them Apostilled in your own country (Canada)?
Can you just wait until you arrive in Panama and have them Apostilled?
Panama: Return Ticket Necessary?:
If you are 100% prepared to get your Pension Visa in Panama (have all the documents needed & a lawyer when you arrive), do you really need a return ticket to the country (Canada) where you came from? Ticket is expensive!
If you can show everything, do they smile and say "welcome"?
Panama: Cell Phone in Panama:
Can you buy a "plain jane" cell phone in Panama and then just add minutes as you need them?
Like in Mexico where you get minutes at the OXXO store (their 7-Eleven)?
Is the coverage good for the whole country of Panama?

Panama: Which Comes First?:
I am 99% I want to retire in Panama.
What should I do first?
I think getting a good lawyer in the Panama City area (where Visas happen) might be first.
But, to do that, a bank account in Panama might be more important first.
I also want to get a car as soon as possible (will rent for a month first). Again, money must be in Panama.
Can someone recommend a good attorney in the Panama City area for bank & visa? One that will not rip me off!
I arrive in PC on October 2nd!

Do these things work in a car in Panama?
If GPS works - how useful is it?
Panama: Best Internet Speed:
Why no peace & quiet?
Are the "natives" always restless 24 hours a day?
Do not understand.

Panama: TV Options in Panama:
Is Cable-TV popular in Panama?
What about Satellite TV?
Which offers more and or better channels?
Are American Networks and News Channels (CNN, etc.) available?
Do most TV services also offer Internet at a good speed?

Panama: Visa for Panama:
Can you apply for a Panana Visa after you arrive in Panama (and decide you like it there)?
If yes, what are the items you need to have in hand when you arrive?
