Hello everybody. We just would like to let you all know that my Thai wife and I have opened an authentic Thai food restaurant in front of the Taxi stand at the main entrance to Montanita. If you are looking for flavor in your food, please come by and give us a chance.

Ecuador: Meeting points in Cuenca.:

Ecuador: Buying a truck:

I'm coming for a 3 months "feel out trip" to EC in July. I will then make up my mind to do the move or stay where I'm staying now. I was thinking to buy a second hand truck as I will be traveling all over the country.Preferably a Blazer K5 ,1973-1991. My question: Can I register a truck in my name just coming here on a tourist visa? What paperwork ( documents ) are needed from my side and the seller? Thanks for answers.

Hello,I'm new in this forum. First of all, great forum and very active members.Thank you for that.We are two families moving to EC. One on retirement visa and one on Investment visa. I have the chance to send stuff in the container of the retirement visa family. My question: Can motorcycle parts ( engines, wheels, ect. ) also be shipped in that container? I try to bring in 2 of my bikes, in parts and then assemble them in EC. I heard it is almost impossible to import second hand sport bikes. Anyone has experience in that? Also I'm looking for Expats that are also in Sport bikes. I will be located in Manta/Montanita. Thank you.
