Croatia: shocking education:

i am British and have lived in Croatia since 1998. I am married to a croatian and we now have 2 boys both at school. I would love to digress about the education system but will stick to a single subject for this topic. my son asked me today if it were true that British children all run away from home, do drugs and sell themselves for prostitution. Off course I was shocked at this question and asked where he got such crazy info. He tells me he learned this in english. Bloody hell I said. What's that to do with english lessons. What teacher has told you this and what's it got anything to do with learning English. Well it's in my school book. let me see, I don't believe you. After reading the school book I was shocked and left speechless. my son tells me all the children in his class were laughing at this and being his father is British, my son felt embarrassed. I can only imagine if we in Britain had something similar in our books about croatian children. I have taken a photo of this paragraph where the life's have to fill in the blanks. You would not believe this unless you read it. I will happily forward the complete paragraph to anyone to read.
