Burma: looking for an apartment in Yangon:

Dear Bernd, Rente here are very high and Golden Valley is probably where rents are the highest. $800 will not go far there. But if you are willing to look elsewhere there are rooms available. For example, I have a 2-storey flat with 3 bedrooms and am paying $800 per month, though I think I was a bit lucky..Good luck with your search, Reinhard

Burma: Apartment costs & availability:

I'm confused about rental prices in Yangon. Some internet searches tell me that I can get a 1-bedroom apartment in Yangon for 800 USD per month and others that I will need to pay 1500 plus pay a year in advance. Others tell me renters will not accept foreigners at all for legal reasons. Can anyone clarify?
