Peru: Trujillo/Huanchaco Expats?:
Any expats living in Trujillo or Huanchaco? I currently live in Arequipa and write for an international magazine. ! will be in Trujillo from Jan.13 - 20. I hope to meet up with a few expats living in the area that could enlighten me about life in Trujillo with the intent of possibly putting together a couple of profile articles. Also interested in speaking to any foreigners that own any businesses in the area. Please send me a private message if you can help me out. Thanks.
Peru: Arequipa cost of living:
Well, we retired here about six months ago and are enjoying it very much. Only took a couple of months to get Rentista Visa. Have not noticed it being a dangerous place at all. Have walked home at midnight from shows at the large UNSA stadium and weren't worried at all. I'm sure there are places you wouldn't go in the wee hours of the morning but, for the most part, it seems pretty safe to us. There are always lots of people out and about in the center of town.
