Indonesia: Dog Cull today, heartbreaking:

I have been in Bali for 7 weeks, during that time I got to know a little dog called Ricky at the entrance to the place I'm staying, he was just a puppy, About 2 hours ago, he was killed. Ive been out here thinking about setting up a business, today I decided its not for me. I understand completely the need to control rabies, they need to sort the problem at source, not just this indiscriminate killing when expats and tourists complain, they should be the ones putting pressure on the government to find a better, more humane solution, it wouldnt be that difficult to issue a dog license programme like many other countries instead of allowing the poorest of people here to have dogs when many cant feed their families. I'm disgusted by what I have seen happen here today.

Fiji: Living and working in Fiji:

HI, I'm going to guess that this question has been asked hundreds of times so I apologise in advance. Ive been looking t move abroad for the last year and initially been looking at Indonesia, recently, an opportunity as come up in Fiji and I'm really just trying to understand if it is possible to set up a small business (possibly a self funded NGO) in Fiji, clearly, longer term I'd also like to own my own home there, if all goes well, Is it possible? Having spent a year looking at the same prospect in Indonesia, I can say its very difficult and not straightforward, so I am really just looking for some high level advice of the possible 'pitfalls' before I take this any further, so any advice would be much appreciated. Hello, Can anyone please advise on how I might go about finding beach front land for sale? I am looking to start up a small dive business, I am not restricted to 'where' as long as its beach front and enough land to build a few bungalows + small dive centre. I am currently living in the UK, I am really just looking for some guidance on 'where to start' before heading out to Indonesia. Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer some advice.

Philippines: Potential to move to Puerto Galera:

Hello everyone, I am a new member and looking for some general advice please. Short version, we are looking to change our lifestyle, move away from the UK and potentially invest in a new business venture. I have just found a business for sale near Puerto Galera that interests me, can anyone who has moved to the Philippines and possibly even invested in a business there, please give me some advice on perhaps the 3 top good points and bad points on moving there - or any other guidance on what the top priorities are that I need to consider if moving to this area, Apologies for such a long note.
