Dear Katharina, I just moved from Basel to Estonia in the past week... but best bet (assuming you dont speak a lot of Swiss-German) is to head for Paddy Reilley's or my fave Pickwicks. Just go for it! Take an extented vacation to Canada --- meet up with producers and film-makers in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal ... something will fall in place. It is very very hard to hook up over internet, as this is really a people business. You can also try the National Film Board in Montreal. Bonne chance! Canadian abroad

Dear E, I have only just moved to Tallinn myself a week ago. No idea about the bike, but you might want to try a local biker club in Tallinn? They are usually quite friendly with such questions. Any recommendations with getting up to speed in Estonian? I am a total beginner, but need to find work soon. I freelance in meeting planning and product marketing. I think both your professions would be relatively easy to find work in Estonia. You prob have found something by now -- given your post was about 6 months ago! Louisa
