Peru: Healthcare:
Are there any areas for nude sunbathing in the area?
Peru: Life on the Beach in Peru:
On a whim I thought I would check out beach life in Peru. I live and grew up in Florida so I'm looking for a nice warm beach, preferably clothing optional. Does such a place exist in Peru?
I would like some kind of reasonable internet access as well.
Ecuador: How long can I stay in country?:
Some confusion between myself & friends who have actually been there.
It is my understanding that as a visitor I can only stay in Ecuador for 90 days/year. I may enter, depart and re-enter but the 90 days per year is cumulative. Is this right?
Also I understand that if I want residency, aside from meeting all the other criteria, I must comm it to staying in country and only leave for a total of 90 days over a 3 year period.
Do I have this stuff right?
Belize: What Island is best for me?:
I'm a semi-retired single male, good health, like fishing, swimming, sailing. I'm looking for info on which of the many islands would suit me best. I'd like to have:
decent internet
able to live in shorts, t shirt, shoes optional
some kind of social life, even a regular hang out place
long term, nothing fancy, small inexpensive rental. Would consider a room mate/house share option
readily available food to go with the fish I will catch
a small boat (sail or rowing) and someplace to keep it where it won't disappear--or a friend with a boat
a place for nude sunbathing--beach would be best--but it might have to be my back yard.
Any thoughts, no matter how off the wall, would be appreciated!
Ecuador: About the price of GOLD?:
Gold and silver are for when the disaster comes. If it really hits the best thing to own is pre-1964 silver dimes. They are easily recognizable, tradeable because of their small denomination (who are you going to trade that ounce of gold to if the world really is falling apart...& what will you get for it?).
Ecuador: Managing Foreign Investments from within Ecuador:
FYI For active trading/day trading 5M down & up could be lethal for your trading account. I need a minimum of 10 up and 50 down for futures & currency trading. Bad internet is one of the reasons we may not choose Ecuador as a place to live.
I contacted the cable company for Vilcabamba & they said they could get me 50 or 100M for an undisclosed price. I'd have to see that installed & working before committing to residency.
Are there T1 lines in Ecuador? I would think the banks would need them.
Panama: Is health insurance required to visit?:
Apparently some countries require proof of health insurance before tourists can enter. Is this required in Panama and does anyone know about whether it is required in Belize, Ecuador, Uruguay or Chile?
Ecuador: Do we need proof of health insurance to visit Ecuador or any other countries?:
Apparently some countries require proof of health insurance before tourists can enter. Is this required in Ecuador and does anyone know about whether it is required in Belize, Panama, Uruguay or Chile?
Uruguay: MIGRATION TO SOUTH AMERICA:
I like the analysis by (not so)crazy farmer). What about Ecuador?
Panama: Visiting Panama:
We are looking at visiting that area as well. Our time frame is open.
