India: How to find work in Bangalore?:

Hi, I'm a degreed American software engineer with 8 years experience. Currently, I'm working in Japan but I want to seek work in Bangalore, India. Could someone tell me how difficult it is for foreigners to find work in Bangalore in IT? I plan on scouting out Bangalore for a month in December. Also, are Indians receptive to foreigners or are they xenophobic and want us to stay out? That may sound harsh, but I've been to some countries where that's the case. Lastly, will I have to be on guard for paying higher prices because I look foreign and therefore MUST be rich? Is it possible to pay Indian prices for food and accommodation without being taken for the proverbial "ride"? I'm completely new to India. However, I've lived abroad for many years and know that every country has its challenges, including the one that used to be my home but will not be anymore (USA). Cheers
