Ireland: Amazon Prime in Ireland:
I will be in Dublin for 6 months. I currently live in Minnesota and have an Amazon Prime account. How does that work in Ireland? Will I still have Amazon Prime and my same account login, or will I need to use a special Amazon Ireland website to place orders?
Ireland: Best Ireland guidebook:
I will be in Ireland for at least 6 months so I will have lots of time to explore the country. Can anyone recommend an up-to-date, accurate and comprehensive guidebook? Rick Steves Ireland and Lonely Planet Ireland get the best reviews on amazon. Can anyone recommend one over the other? I really like Lonely Planet guides but the Rick Steves guide was released more recently so I'm really torn. Thanks!
Ireland: One-way or return flight?:
I will be in Dublin for a minimum of 6 months, but up to a year. I will decide later if I want to stay longer or not. I'll be departing Minneapolis in June with tentative plans to return in December. Should I purchase a one-way ticket and watch for a winter deal to fly home? Are there winter deals? Or should I purchase round-trip (around $950 right now) with insurance to switch the flight later? Is that insurance possible and is it expensive?
Ireland: Scholarship:
Good for you! Congratulations! Where are you from? I'm 33, from Minnesota and am planning to do an internship/volunteer opportunity starting in June. I'm making a career change. I want to diversify my skills and gain International experience. No matter your age, living/working/studying abroad is an amazing opportunity! I'm married and have a 13 yr old son, but we are going to make it work! Go for it!
Luxembourg: Reclaiming of Luxembourg citizenship:
I just found out about the 2008 law that allows the reclaiming of Luxembourg citizenship through a lineal ancestor. Has anyone done this that can help me get started? What are my next steps?
Panama: Trip Report - Pearl Islands:
I have asked several questions on this forum and want to contribute back with a trip report of our time on the Pearl Islands. If you are going there or considering it, check out my blog post about our stay. http://www.hellopassport.com/pearls-islands-what-to-know-before-you-go/
Panama: travel in July:
I'd tried to visit your website but it wouldn't load. So is it www.xxxmemories dot com? Triple X's? It sounds like a p*rn sight honestly. I have read in other places online good things about 5star Academy.
Guatemala: Mother/son backpacking thru Central America:
Next school year (fall/winter 2015) my 13 yr old son and I plan to backpack through Central America for 2-4 months while he does virtual school and I work on my travel blog. We want to do 2-4 weeks of Spanish classes on a budget and then make our way from Guatemala down to Panama. We will make time for volunteering, surfing lessons, snorkeling, visiting indigenous people, a cooking class, and etc. Probably spending about a week in one spot and then moving on. Here are my questions: Do I have an safety concerns? Is it realistic to budget up to $50/day for both of us (staying in CLEAN hostels or budget rooms)? Can anyone recommend a cheap, quality Spanish school for adults and kids classes? Are there any trains or is it just bus transporation? Is it ossible to find small paying jobs like in cafes or teaching English? Anyone have an itinerary suggestion?
Germany: Where to study German:
I'm an American looking wanting to come to Germany to study German and work part-time. (I have an MBA with marketing concentration.) Can anyone recommend a low cost, quality school with a work placement option? Thanks!
