Nicaragua: What phone to buy?:

I know nothing about phones...(got a flip phone for emergencies in US) What is the best phone to get to be able to continue my hour long conversations with my friend in LA while living in Nica? Do I keep a US phone number? Do not know how international phones work. But I know practically all of you will now!! Thanks in advance!! :)

Nicaragua: Help! No cat litter?:

I'm here in Granada making arrangements for future permanent stay...and went to the supermercado to check on cat food/litter (I'm bringing my cat)...well, the cat food they have...but they had never heard of kitty litter! Anyone have ant suggestions what to do? My spoiled kitty is used to The World's Greatest litter! Help!! Granada BTW I think is paradise!

Nicaragua: Getting mail in Granada:

Hello! I'm coming for a week on 9/11, and then later moving for good. I heard that until you get your residency papers, you can't open a post box...is this right? The place I'm staying in (Vista Mombacho) doesn't seem to have an actual address! I guess I'll learn a lot in my 9/11-9/18 stay...just curious how the mail thing works...Thanks for any answers!

Nicaragua: "Clean Bill of Health" for Nicaragua immigration:

Hello! I'm hoping to move to Nicaragua, and get out of the California rat race. I see among the papers needed is a "Clean Bill of Health." As someone with a history of breast cancer, I'm concerned that this will be the "fly in the ointment." Can anyone who has seen/filled out/completed this form advise me of what it entails? Thank you!
