Kuwait: Golf for expat women:

To my knowledge the only Golf Course in Kuwait is a Sand Gold course. I do not know if women can play golf. The Golf course is on or around 12 ring road. try and google the golf course and ask the golf course directly.

Saudi Arabia: Nursing compound for King Khaled National guard:

The living area is nice. To my knowledge Males are not allowed to visit. There is a dress code outside the compound and you must be escorted by a male. the company that hired you will provide cleared escorts. You can live fairly relaxed in the compound. My advice would be to find someone from Vinnell Arabia to sign you into there compound or Eskan Village. You will enjoy the kingdom. Be flexible. any questions contact me. Lee

Qatar: Possible move to Qatar:

Hello: I lived in Qatar for four years. It is a wonderful place to live compared to other areas in the Gulf. You have the American Hospital and several other places for medical. There are several English speaking schools. You have a large expat communnity of americans and brits. You can ship your cat however he will be quaratined. Qatar is Rabies free. You have a new cathoilic church and you also have several night clubs that serve alcohol. You can buy liquor from Qatar airways with a liqor permit signed by your sponsor. Alcohol is not available in a regular resturants. If you go to the Sheraton or other hotels you can have alcohol with dinner. They are fairly relaxed. Your wife can drive. Hiring a maid is cheap and they will live with you and clean the house cook and look after the kids. There are vets in Qatar for your cat. Buy a copy of Marihubai which is the official guide book of Qatar. You can go four wheeling and ride 3 wheelers. Gas is cheap roughly 78 cents a gallon. Shopping in the souqs is cheap. You can have suits hand made cheaply. You have a true 18 hole golf course. Qatar has a tennis tournament a golf tournament and professional boat motocross and car races there. Rember. It is not California, however, it is what you make it and you will learn to love it there. I did. There are several Malls and you can shop the internet is cheap however Qtel monitors webb sites and certain sites are rerstricted. you can getr good television there. Satalites thru Arab Sat which is free are readily available and Qtel has several options for satalite packages. Qatar is booming and the construction is going to go on for ten to 15 years. If you company does that good I have a ten year multiple reentry visa to Qatar give me a job. Any questions contact me at roun25@yahoo.com. Crime is low and there is a low threat for us there even though it is the middle east. I hope I was of some assistance. Roun25

Kuwait: 24 years old, offered a job in Kuwait...:

Hi: My name is Lee. I worked for the same people and company for 3 years. A mad will cost 30 dinars (100.00) a month. any type of auto is available, however you need to make sure the vehicle meets compliance with U.S. EPA admissions. you can rent vehicles thru Al-Sayer for 350-400 a month. Scuba is decent and the army has a plan to rent boats. any questions email me at roun25@yahoo.com

Kuwait: American School of Kuwait vs AIS:

American School of Kuwait. email me at roun25@yahoo.com

United Kingdom: Michigan to Kent... what to think about?:

I lived in the Uk for three years. Kent is not quite as expensive as London but it is close. Petrol will be your biggest expense. A mini or small ford escort is a good investment. Make sure you have a pre MOT inspection. If you do not and buy the vehicle and you fail the MOT which is done yearly you will have to repair all deficient items. You will pay a yearly T.V. liscense fee on each T.V. Public transportation is reliable. Kent is a wonderful city. if you need to talk to some friends from the UK I can send you some emails. feel free to contact me if you have more questions. Lee Van Deusen

Kuwait: Spouses in Kuwait:

Spouses are allowed to stay with their sponsor depending on company policy and availability of housing. You need to send your Passport to the Kuwaiti Embassy in Washington D.C. You will get a ten year multiple re entry visa. You need to have an Aids test and tb test done. You will be sponsored by your husband. You will need a civil Id with a i think 18 sponsorship which means you do not need to be accompanied by your sponsor. You will need to get an aids test TB Time chest Xray and eye test in kuwait. You need a kuwaiti drivers license to drive. If you have any more questions you can contact me at roun25@yahoo.com. If you have experience as a school teacher you can teach at the US School in kuwait located on 4th ring road. You have to get the medical tests before you leave the country and then have the same medical tests redone when you get to kuwait. I dont know why but it is Kuwait procedure. I lived there for three years and worked for the Govt. The housing is nice and there is a large expat community of American and British personnel there. You have many western resturants and the power is 220 european so you will need converters which you can purschase in country. you can get internet access for roughly 66 dollars a month 20 kuwaiti dinars (20 kd)
