China: Moving to Qingdao:

Welcome to Qingdao! This is a beautiful city on the east coast of China. We have an active expat community here and even a monthly newsletter, "The Qingdao Expat." I'll send you an email copy. Expats are pretty scattered around, but mostly on the east side of the city along the shore. There are many modern apartments and a few housing neighborhoods. We also have 2 international schools. China: Cost of living?:

You don't say where you will be living. Exparnses vary greatly whether you are in a city or smaller town. The major expense in the cities is housing. Primary education is also very expensive if you want to send your childen to a private international school. This can be on the level of Western cities or higher for some cities. Everything else in China is really very reasonable. Since your room and board are paid, I think you will find China a very cheap place to live. Everything, except imported products, are less than in the US or Europe.
