Panama: Be Aware:

People moving to Panama will often go through sites like Hemingway Hideaway, etc. they should be aware that the Hemingway site, as with several others, is run by people whose sole intent is to separate you from you finances. They never complete the construction, walking off the job when you're broke, contracts not-withstanding, leaving you with a partial house and no funds to complete it. There is a group active here that is trying to get out helpful information to any folks contemplating a move here and this writer will gladly assist with any information requested. I am the latest victim, having a house, no money, little hope, and living in a rental house in a swamp. Interested parties can contact the Lees at Stay@Cielitosur.com for additional information. Panama: Considering a move to Panama:

In addition to the information previously provided, be advised that there are many bi-lingual schools in Panama. In my area the Adventists have some good schools and there are others. Depends on where you wish to settle down. Best bet is to visit and check around.

In Panama we have many English-Spanish schools. It depends where in the country you intend to study. I live in the highlands of Chiriqui and have a wonderful "maestra" who is teaching me the language. She has no web-site (or email, yet), but I can relay any information desired.
