Thanks ca and I apologise

Philippines: 911 emergency service in Manila:

There are ambulances in manila but traffic is so bad they take ages to get any where. The ambulances are not well equipped here not like usa . have you never been to Philippines before? Do some real research. Ask loads of questions on here. Get as much information as you can on where you are going. Manila is not the safest place in Philippines. You have to be fully aware of the dangers and the scams that go on here. Philippines is absolutely nothing like USA or Europe. They talk about culture shock its reality here. For me Manila is an aweful place, crowded polluted noisy dirty horrible place. A few days and I am happy to get out of the place. There is a lot to do there but walking the streets at night is dangerous. I wish you luck

Philippines: Dog lovers, dog shows, purebred dogs:

I got a cross between a cocker spanial and something else, she is the loveliest affectionate beautiful dog I have ever had

Philippines: Condo management in Cebu:

Rent your condo out by the time you retire it will need extensive repairs not sure about management co but would you honestly trust one here? I certainly wouldn't if your only coming here once or twice a year save yourself the hassle and expense buy when you retire. In fact I would say retire rent for two years if you still like the area then buy. Property is not easy to sell here very slow

Philippines: Relatives Borrowing Money:

I think you just have to say no once you 'lend' to one person the next person will expect the same. Never tell anyone how much you get each month never tell anyone how much money is in the bank. It can be hard if its emeegancy healthcare best not live anywhere near the family. But if you say no don't expect to be Mr popular. You can keep on paying out I would tell your partner if it Carry's on I will go home it is too expensive to live here. And if it continued I would go home, for a good while at least, no idle threats

Philippines: Lunch or Dinner invitations:

I would swallow that one but be honest tell (her?) That if you invite her again its just her if she brings anyone else along there will be no date. Never had that problem myself but I have heard of it

Philippines: Atrocious behaviour of some expats:

I think davou has been done to death now I am sure its a great place to live just leave it all alone now let the argument die a natural death.kepp bringing up the same old statements will only inflame others to start arguing again. I don't usually get drawn into these childish arguments but last night I found myself poking fun at one person in particular so let this one die please

Philippines: Australian Pensioner in the Philippines:

Don't see why not better get aan answer from a fellow Aussie I think

Philippines: Cash or Credit card:

Holding a lot of cash with you is going to be a pain. Not sure if you will be in a hotel or what but your money might not be secure if left there. For 6 months stay I would set up world remit or something similar online and send money to yourself maybe weekly there is cebuana, mhullier, Palawan express you can collect your money. Or take a credit card use it here pay off your monthly balance no interest charges, if you card is swiped or stolen report it to the card company and your losses should be reimbursed. If using a debit or credit card don't let it out of you sight I lost £3000 by doing this. My preference is to send cash to yourself from your bank account via a remittance company. Bdo did a remittance account no minimum amount needed and only one remittance per year to keep the account active. But you need an act card and I heard you had to be in Philippines one year now before you can open an account but I am not sure.

Philippines: Visa requirements:

I don't think it will make any difference for you to get a visitors visa they don't do police checks if you renew your visa here every two months they do a check with the nbi and as long as you have been a good boy here you will be fine. If you come here and apply for a retirement visa straight away they want a police check from your country.
