Expression of interest university english teachers
Expressions of interest for English and linguistics teachers for undergraduate and masters level. Must be: native speaker and masters qualified. Do not need to live in Brazil, do not need to relocate permanently.
We are one of the largest private Universities in Brazil. We are seeking teachers to join us in teaching at a University in Curitiba. Applicants much have a Masters level qualification or higher and must be a native speaker of English. Your qualifications do not need to be in the area of English teaching or teaching but, in this case you must have experience.
You will teach students advanced English, as well as other topics in the linguistics field.
For example:
Translation studies
Child development and language aquisition
History and cultural aspects of English speaking countries
Advanced grammar
Didactics and methodologies of the English Language
As we are seeking international teachers we are flexible about employment arrangements. Every teacher will be employed differently depending on needs and circumstance. These are the options for employment:
Fly in fly out - employment for 1 month (possibly
longer) to teach one subject start to finish
Relocation to Curitiba - permanent part time or casual position
Currently live in Curitiba
Casual employment for one month or something more permanent
All travel, relocation and being away from home costs will be covered. The course material will be prepared for you in advance. However, if you are relocating or currently living in Curitiba, there may be opportunity for you to become a member of staff and participate in the creation of course content as would a typical University professor.
Masters or PHD
Qualifications in the TESOL, linguistics and education fields preferred
Teaching course content
Marking assignments
Possibly content design (for permanent positions)
