How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

There are many activities available to the students. Both Elementary and Middle School compete in Jamborees against other international schools. The sports are soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming. The PTA also run afterschool activities every Tuesday. My girls do Ballet and Taekwondo. But there are many other things available - art, korean fan dance, gallery of games, robotics, swimming, praise and worship and Korean language classes. The school has bands, choirs, and each year they put on two plays. (Continue)

Expat Report Review of Gyeonggi Suwon International School (GSIS) in Suwon, Korea was published

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

They are excellent. The school has brand new facilities: 2 gyms, pool, tennis courts, turf socccer field, auditorium, 5 science labs, 3 computer labs, art rooms, music rooms, elementary and high school libraries, and an early learning center. There is a sports program which includes basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, swimming and cross country. Other activities offerred include band, choir, praise team, fan dance, Spanish and others that change depending on the year. (Continue)

What advice would you offer others about finding jobs and working abroad?

Talk to others before you come. Take their advice with a grain of salt. Everyone has their own experience and agenda. Come prepared with deodorant. You can get a lot of things on the black market or through US military friends, but its best to bring it with you. (Continue)
