probably it is because driving practice in Germany is some more detailed than in the US. (Braking distance calculation, axle load calculation... It is still the matter of the automatic transmission vs clutch... Driving in the USA is very easy. Gas tap and stop at the next intersection then gas tap and stop at the next intersection. It's more fun ´cause Americans drive more leisurely.
